The state of Indiana allows taxpayers to take a deduction on solar powered roof fans (solar powered attic ventilation) on a residential level. South Central Indiana REMC offers a 6.0% interest loan for residential customers that make energy efficiency improvements to their homes including insulation, energy efficient windows, and solar thermal water heating systems, up to $10,000 (see South Central Indiana REMC Energy Efficiency Loan Program for more information).
